There’s nothing like a rainy day and waiting hours for a certain rainout to start a website. I’ve tried the whole blogging thing in the past, with little success, because I really felt I didn’t have anything to say.
After 35 years as a high school (and sometimes small college) official and 10 years as a high school assigner, I feel I have something to say now. Further, I realized it’s not a blog I want to create, it’s also a place where I can put things that interest me around the world of officiating and assigning, two things I’ve done a *lot* of and have had reasonable levels of success with (depending who you ask, of course).

I won’t hit every possible angle in one post as the topic is way too complex to be addressed in one post, or one symposium, or one convention. But I do think we need to stop talking about it and start doing something about it.
Alongside this so-called blogging, this will be a place where I will post links, videos, maybe some podcasts, and other things I find around the world and the web I find interesting in the hopes others might, too.
